Empowering Young People, Building Leadership Skills, Confidence and Positive Futures
Nail it and Thrive is all about empowering teens and near teens to explore their creativity and leadership skills through nail art and the world of creative digital . Our online programmes are highly flexible and offer a recognised level 2 (GCSE level equivalent) or level 1 qualification that can be completed without the stress of exams. Whether the learner chooses to dedicate a few hours per day over a condensed period of time (such as over a holiday period), or explore the course over 12 months, we have a programme to provide the right support. If the student prefers to work 1-1 with a tutor we can also do this. Visit our page dedicated to 1-1 support for more information.

Join us in fostering a community where self-expression and personal growth go hand in hand. We aim to develop skills for a successful future in a world that is ever-changing, and where genuine and fun connections can feel hard to develop. Through our engaging courses, teens and near teens not only enhance their artistic abilities but also develop connections with like-minded people, the experience of researching career paths and the confidence to lead and inspire others. Our courses provide learners with the nationally recognised Arts Award Qualification, recognised by schools, colleges and universities. Our courses go beyond the Arts Award requirements, however, and carefully build confidence in the new practical creative skills before portfolio building work and other skill development commences. Our learner emerge with a renewed sense of who they are and what they are about, and with confidence and employability skills they didn't know they were capable of!

Building Confidence and Critical Skills for Successful Futures for All

Workplaces are entering a period of revolution, not least due to the impact of AI, and employees are having to learn that the ability to constantly learn and utilise new skills is itself an important skill for the future! Strikingly, according to the World Economic Forum Future of Jobs Report, 2025 (see bar chart above), it is creative thinking and leadership skills that will be top-tier skills by 2030 - more employers view them as core skills for the coming years than technological literacy, AI and Big Data! (Yes, you did read that correctly). Standard academic subjects at school often don't help students to practice and evidence these skills sufficiently. Trust Nail it and Thrive to fill this gap and use our expertise to put your young person one step ahead with the confidence and ability to succeed.

Nearly one in four children in the UK are also persistently absent from school and too many young people are a statistic in an alarming mental health crisis. Over one in five 8 to 16 year olds are currently thought to have a mental health condition, and anxiety has been described as an epidemic that is harming young people's ability to enter the workforce.
Nail it and Thrive are highly experienced at working with young people with these challenges to build confidence, creativity and leadership skills. We work with the therapeutic joy of learning new creative new skills and sharing those abilities with others.

The image shown here is an example of nail art created by one of our students.
When your young person applies for a job, will they be equipped to display examples of applying their creative and leadership skills and speak confidently about their ability to do so? We will work with them to build their experiences and give them real examples that they can talk about.
Nail it and Thrive - We build confidence, creativity, leadership and futures with young people :)

Community Connection
The leadership part of our level 2 programmes requires the young people to share their new skill via a leadership challenge. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals and groups in the community to provide ways for the young people to share their new skills. This could be allowing a series of demonstrations at a youth club, agreeing to nail art pamper evenings or supporting a nail art stall or exhibition at a day-long fete, for example.

Please note that it is the responsibility of the parent, guardian or alternative responsible adult, to ensure that the leadership project is carried out safely. Any individuals wanting to complete the award but who do not feel able to undertake an event directly in the community have the option of creating a series of video tutorials to demonstrate leadership in their new skills.
