Empowering Teens, Building Leadership Skills and Positive Futures
Nail it and Thrive is all about empowering teens and near teens to explore their creativity and leadership skills through nail art. Our online programme is highly flexible and offers a recognised level 2 (GCSE level equivalent) qualification that can be completed without the stress of exams. Whether the individual chooses to dedicate a few hours per day over a condensed period of time (such as over a holiday period) or explore the course over a longer period of time, we have a programme to provide the right support.

Join us in fostering a community where self-expression and personal growth go hand in hand. We aim to develop skills for a healthy future in a world that is ever-changing, and where genuine and fun connections can feel hard to develop. Through our engaging nail art course, teens/near teens not only enhance their artistic abilities but also develop connections with like-minded peers, the experience of researching career paths and the confidence to lead and inspire. Our course leads to a level 2 Arts Award from Trinity College London.

Fostering Positive Peer Connection, Building Confidence
Nearly one in four children in the UK are persistently absent from school and too many young people are a statistic in an alarming mental health crisis. Over one in five 8 to 16 year olds are currently thought to have a mental health condition and anxiety has been described as an epidemic that is harming young people's ability to enter the workforce.

Meanwhile, workplaces are entering a period of revolution, not least due to the impact of AI, and employees are having to learn that the ability to learn and utilise new skills is itself an important skill for the future!
Nail it and Thrive aims to provide young people with a framework to help build positive peer support structures and sources of enjoyment away from computers. It also aims to focus on the joy of learning new skills and sharing new abilities with others.
Community Connection

The leadership part of the programme requires the young people to share their new skill via a leadership challenge. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals and groups in the community to provide ways for the young people to share their new skills. This could be allowing a demonstration at a youth club, agreeing to a nail art pamper evening or supporting a nail art stall at a fete, for example.

Please note that it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure that the leadership project is carried out safely. Any individuals wanting to complete the award but who do not feel able to undertake an event directly in the community have the option of creating a video tutorial to demonstrate leadership in their new skills.
