Terms and Conditions

By enrolling your child in the Nail Art Award programme, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1.    You confirm that you have read the information regarding the Nail Art Award at www.nailitandthrive.com, including the Frequently Asked Questions and the criteria for accepting participants onto the course.

2.    You understand that your son or daughter will be provided with an online portfolio, and that all work must be completed and submitted via this portfolio, online, as instructed.

3.    You acknowledge that the course fee is for a contract between yourself and us, which is valid for 12 months from the date of course commencement. Requests for an extension will only be considered if submitted before the end of the 12-month period.

4.    You understand that the fee includes the following, for a duration of 12 months only:
o    Attendance of any live sessions booked by you plus use of the pre-recorded and recorded sessions
o Ongoing support and marking via the portfolio set up for your son or daughter, and the associated online folder created for them.
o    Moderation (if applicable).
o    Peer support through participation in the Nail it and Thrive social media group.

5.    You acknowledge that the course fee covers only the support explicitly listed above. It does not include additional costs such as:
o    The printing of certificates (E-certificates are issued by Trinity College upon completion of the Award and successful submission of work. Trinity will provide instructions for ordering printed copies).
o    Extra support required due to the participant not reaching the expected standard, after one opportunity to respond to feedback for each module has already been given.

6.    You understand and accept that, under our Data Protection Policy, we cannot retain student data for more than three years. Your child has a maximum of two years to complete the Award and present their work for moderation (including any granted extensions). If the Award is not completed within this period, the account will be closed, and no refund will be provided.

7.    You confirm that your child will treat all members of the Nail it and Thrive project, including staff and fellow participants, with respect at all times. Your child agrees to follow all safety instructions and adhere to the requirements for content, layout, and presentation of their portfolio as specified by Nail it and Thrive Advisers or in official course documentation.

8.    You agree to ensure your child has all the necessary information and materials required for the successful completion of the course. Even competent and independent young people require a degree of parental supervision, including for any community or public-based activities related to the course.

9.    You acknowledge that ultimate responsibility for your child’s successful completion of the course lies with you. Our role is to provide guidance and tutoring; we not responsible for enforcing participation. If your child chooses not to follow recommendations or complete assignments, we will not be held accountable for failure to pass the course or moderation.

10.    You accept that our Advisers are committed to helping your child succeed. However, if Advisers report that you or your child are not following their guidance or cooperating with the process, we reserve the right to terminate the contract without refund.

11.    Rudeness, aggression, or disrespect directed toward our staff or Advisers will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Such behaviour will result in immediate cancellation of the contract.
